Community Involvement

Generali USA has a proud history of supporting a wide variety of community organizations.  We believe that our mission is to create a better world, not only by helping our customers, but also by helping our citizens.  Our investments in these organizations include time, money, and personal passion.

Generali USA currently sponsors the following:

• Operation Breakthrough – A local organization that offers disadvantaged children (and their families) subsidized daycare, as well as programs in health maintenance, violence prevention, and literacy.  They also provide before- and after-school care programs.  Generali USA is a top supporter of Operation Breakthrough, and sponsors their annual Chiefs Charity Football Game.
  
  
• Heart of America United Way – An organization that provides health and human services throughout the Kansas City area, including financial support to more than 348 programs.  Generali USA has supported the Heart of America United Way for several years by devoting one week each fall to fund-raising events such as the soup and chili cook-off, the bake sale, carnival games, Jeans Day, drawings, and raffles.
  
  
• Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – A network of 115 accredited Cystic Fibrosis care centers that provide patients and families with treatment and other resources for cystic fibrosis.  Generali USA has supported this organization for over six years through monetary donations, as well as through a dinner and silent auction. 
  
  
• Junior Achievement – An organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people to learn about the value of free enterprise in America, and how it affects their lives.  Generali not only provides Junior Achievement with an annual monetary contribution and a staff member who serves on their Board of Directors, we also sponsor several annual events, such as the Trailwood Elementary School Bowl-a-Thon.
  
• Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) – This program trains volunteers to help abused and neglected children get their best interests met through the family court system of Jackson County.  Generali USA has a certified CASA volunteer on our staff, and we also contribute funds annually.
  
• Pinkerton Elementary School – An elementary school located in Kansas City, Missouri.  Generali USA has supported major Pinkerton Elementary School projects through the years, including the construction of a campus playground and the hosting of all-school field trips to the Learning Exchange, Earthworks, and Science City.  We have also purchased books, computer hardware and software, building equipment, and winter survival gear for the school. 
  
• Kansas City Area Teachers of Mathematics (KCATM) - A club that encourages learning and excellence for children at all levels of mathematics.  Generali USA participates annually in a scholarship matching program for KCATM.
