Generali USA Life Reassurance Company ("Generali USA") considers the confidentiality, protection and safety of information to be of the utmost importance, particularly the personal data of its clients and their customers.

This concern for confidentiality extends to Generali USA's web site and its users. For the most part, the web site is intended to provide non-confidential information about Generali USA to others. There are, however, portions of the web site that provide access to Generali USA proprietary information. These sections require passwords to be accessed.

Secured Portions of Site
Access to the Generali USA Life Underwriting Guide, (the "Guide") and the "Data Exchange" facility (collectively, the "Secured Site") is provided only to Generali USA's clients.

Generali USA utilizes industry standard security measures(1) to assure that such access is secure. Generali USA may, solely at its discretion, modify the methods it uses to provide a secure environment. If such changes involve actions that need to be taken by its clients, it will notify them in advance and provide information on the nature of the changes and the actions the clients need to take. A Client's ability to access the Secured Site will be conditioned upon them complying with minimum specified security requirements (e.g., operating system, browser version, browser configuration).

Additionally, for those client companies that avail themselves of the Guide's ability to insert annotations, these notations are maintained so that they are visible exclusively to the persons the company has designated. Of course, even though security measures are being employed, Guide users are expected to exercise prudence in terms of the nature of their comments. Guide users and their Companies are exclusively responsible for any comments or annotations they may insert into the Guide. Guide users are also expected to maintain the confidentiality of the passwords assigned to them.

Unsecured Portions of Site
Except for the Secured Site, all other portions of the site are unsecured. This is because the information provided is generally not proprietary in nature. Further, in this portion of the site, Generali USA does not obtain or exchange client information. In this regard, users should understand that the Internet is not a secure environment and that unless precautions are taken communications through this medium should not be considered to be confidential.

Therefore except when accessing the Secured Site, users should not anticipate that information transmitted to or received from this site is secure. As a result, aside from the use of the Guide, Generali USA cannot be responsible for any damages that may arise from use of the site where there is a loss of confidentiality. This would include any information you input on the site, email or otherwise send to us, or request be delivered to you via the Internet.

Conditions of Use
All use of the web site and its contents, excluding the Secured Site, is purely voluntary and is entirely at your risk. Your use of the site means that you agree to and will act in accordance with the provisions of this policy including the conditions of use. Generali USA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or change this policy or the conditions of use. Your continued use of the site following such changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

The site may not be used in any fashion for any criminal activity.

Any use of the site, including annotations in the Guide, that is intended to, or appears intended to, harass, embarrass, threaten, defame or impersonate any person, or is pornographic, offensive, indecent, discriminatory or offensive on the basis of sex, color, national origin, race, age, religion, sexual orientation or disability is strictly prohibited.

The site may not be used, without written permission from Generali USA, for business or commercial pursuits that are unrelated to the business of Generali USA. Clients of Generali USA are hereby authorized to use the site, in conformity with this policy and the conditions of use, for there own business pursuits.

Generali USA may from time to time include links to other Internet sites. This is done exclusively as a convenience and Generali USA does not endorse such sites nor is it responsible for those sites's content, privacy or other policies. Your use of these links is purely voluntary on your part.

Intellectual Property
All information and other material, unless otherwise noted, is the copyrighted work of Generali USA or its parent Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. ("Generali") that is protected pursuant to United States law and treaty. With regard to Generali USA's copyrighted material, you are hereby granted permission to copy such material so long as it is for your personal, non-commercial use and you have not modified it in any way. Further, you must display our copyright and other notices and include a notice that your use is pursuant to the permission hereby granted. Any entity wishing to include a link to this site on its own web site must contact Generali USA and obtain our written permission and the conditions upon which such links may be established.

Cookies and Statistics
Aside from persons using the Secured Site, users browsing our site are not required to provide any personal data. Generali USA does make use of technology to track a limited amount of information concerning site pages visited, topics viewed and other similar information. This information is used for maintenance and performance purposes only.

As part of its tracking and user access to the Secured Site, Generali USA does make use of "cookies" (a "cookie" is information sent to your computer which is stored on it allowing a web site to identify a particular user). This allows Generali USA to provide content tailored to your needs such as access to the Secured Site.

We do not share this information with third parties.

(1) Access to the Guide is restricted to client company staff that are provided user IDs and passwords. Further, Generali USA utilizes 128 Bit, Secure Socket Layer version 3.0, technology to secure access to the Guide coupled with a Verisign issued certificate.
